James joined Ionize in July 2024 as our Principal GRC.  James brings an exceptional background to Ionize including 20 years’ experience in cybersecurity and information security, including executive management of cybersecurity operations, strategy, and architecture services, supported by management consulting within the cybersecurity risk, and ICT governance fields. James’ experience also extends across large and complex business within the Defence, Mining, Financial, Retail, and Public sectors.

As a highly experienced senior executive, James applies his detailed and contemporary knowledge of the digital and operational technology landscape with his practical experience in cyber security risk and operations to lead and deliver strategic, organisational, and policy transformation across both corporate and public sector entities. James was recognised in the 2004 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for conspicuous service with the Department of Defence relating to ICT operations and management.  James has extensive qualifications, certifications and Diplomas up to and including a Master’s in Information Technology.
